Public figure and volunteer Svyatoslav Litinsky said that during the last month before the searches, he was repeatedly provoked by unknown to him asylum seekers to commit an offense.
“Over the past month, we in our community have actually been offered more than once to sell humanitarian aid in Lviv. But they said it in other words: it seems that we have a unit, we need it for the army, help us buy a car. We answered that it’s good, we will go abroad, tell us the approximate cost, we will buy, bring for you, repair. I have a collection, people give their funds. But these “provocateurs” disappear at that moment, they say “no, no, we are only in Lviv, you will already bring us to Lviv, and then we will compensate you for all the expenses,” he said in a comment to Tvoemisto. tv activist.
He noted that he understood at that moment that he was provoked to violate the Criminal Code, which prohibits the sale of humanitarian aid..
“A car before crossing the border is a car, and after it is humanitarian aid. With such offers, they called us once, twice, three times.. And we refused. And things like this happen. I don’t know what they hope for – maybe they’ll find something, maybe they’ll plant something,” Litinsky added..
Also, according to him, they tried to provoke other volunteers they knew, who were offered to sell humanitarian aid..
The man noted that he was not at home during the search, because the day before he went abroad for another car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In turn, the deputy of the Lviv city council, Ihor Zinkevich, said that during the searches of the Litinsky’s house, law enforcement officers seized 15,000 hryvnias..
“According to the police of the city of Kyiv, there is a case where Svyatoslav appears as a person associated with the sale of cars intended as humanitarian aid.. What further actions are unknown, but I think it's time to talk with the authorities to all the volunteers who are engaged in the purchase of cars for the troops.
We know very well that for some reason the police are not very concerned with abusing and earning, but engaged in people who conscientiously help the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he added..
