In the past few days, an increase in military activity has been recorded in the southwestern regions of the Brest region of the Republic of Belarus, Belarus Gayun reports in Telegram.. Apparently, this is due to the exercises at the Brestsky training ground, which were extended until September 11.

Since the end of August, both supply vehicles (various trucks, water carriers, field kitchens) and weapons have been brought to the Brest region. On August 30, around 19:00, a train with at least 20 pieces of equipment of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and 4 passenger cars arrived in Brest.

Among the weapons were two launchers of the S-300 air defense system. It is known that it was a train with equipment of the 115th anti-aircraft missile regiment, which returned to Brest after exercises at the Ashuluk training ground in the Russian Federation. On the same day, the second echelon with more than 6 T-72 tanks of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus arrived in Brest.

The next day, on August 31, in the Drogichinsky district, 5 infantry fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were moving towards the border village of Adamovo, and 4 KamAZ trucks with howitzers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were seen in Pinsk.

On September 1, the movement of ground weapons in the border of the Brest region with Ukraine was not recorded, which cannot be said about aviation activity.

On that day, intensive training of fighters was carried out over Brest, which took off from the airfields in Lida and Baranovichi, as well as helicopters from Machulishchi. Training over Brest is associated with a shift in the training zone closer to the border with Ukraine, we also note that fighter pilots practiced missile launches.

Fixing the movement of equipment resumed the next day. On September 2, in the direction of Ivatsevichi, from the direction of Bereza, a column of 20 vehicles of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was seen, where, in addition to MAZs and Urals, a radar was also moving.

In the evening of the same day, a large echelon with military equipment arrived at the Brest-Yuzhny railway station: more than 13 airborne Urals, more than 17 Grad MLRS, more than 12 Gaz-66, 2 self-propelled guns 2S5 "

Part of the equipment could be unloaded at the Brest-Yuzhny railway station, but at around 20:00 the same echelon was already seen at the Malorita railway station - it was standing in the direction of the border with Ukraine.

It was possible to determine that this is the equipment of the 111th Guards Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Also on September 2 in the direction of ag. Mukhavets (Brest district) another large convoy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was moving: 8 trucks (MAZs, Urals, Zil-131) and 23 armored personnel carriers, BRDM.

In total, over the past few days, the following have been transferred to the border areas of the Brest region with Ukraine:.

S-300 air defense system - 2 units;

T-72 - at least 6 units;

BMP - 5 units;

Howitzers - 4 units;

MLRS \;

SAU 2S5 \;

1B12 - 3 units;

BTR / BRDM - 23 units;

Radar - 1 unit.

According to the authors of the study, what we see, of course, is an increase, including by returning part of the equipment after the exercises in the Russian Federation. The current increase is also related to the conduct of exercises.

" Probably, the pulling of additional equipment to the border areas may be another attempt to build up tension.

As reported, Russia has stepped up aerial reconnaissance on the border of Ukraine and Belarus.
