This was discussed at a meeting on the readiness of schools for the new academic year.. Sukhomlin asked how long it takes the child to get dressed and reach the shelter and received an answer - 7-10 minutes.

“A rocket from Belarus flies for 5-6 minutes maximum, when I ask about the time, I’m talking about this,” the mayor emphasized.

“Parents themselves should take responsibility, because I definitely would not want to take responsibility for some decisions. It’s not that I’m afraid of responsibility, but I just don’t understand how it will work yet, ”he explained..

In Zhytomyr, 27 schools are ready to accept children for full-time education, of which 22 have their own shelters, and in five they will take children to shelters located near the educational institution. As for preschool institutions, by September 1, the city authorities intend to open almost all (about 40).
