On December 1, Ukraine transferred to the International Monetary Fund the last payment in 2017 in the amount of 114.3 million special drawing rights ($ 169 million). This was reported to the "Ukrainian News" in the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.

In total for 2017, Ukraine paid 858.7 million special drawing rights - $ 1.268 billion.

At the same time, Ukraine received within a year from the IMF one tranche of $ 1 billion.

The last memorandum of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF was signed in March 2015, within four years the Fund should allocate to Ukraine $ 17.5 billion. As part of this program, the Ukrainian government has already received four tranches for a total of $ 8.7 billion.

In May 2017, the IMF said that to complete the revision of the program, the Ukrainian authorities expect the provision of parliamentary support for land, pension reforms, anti-corruption bills and the intensification of privatization processes.

October 14, Finance Minister Alexander Danilyuk said that he "realistically" estimates the probability of the next tranche until the end of 2017, but on October 26 in the National Bank of Ukraine announced that they expect the funds to be received not earlier than in the first quarter of 2018.
