Famous Odessa director Kira Muratova became a member of the American Film Academy, which awards "Oscar"

This year, 744 people from 57 countries were invited to become members of the organization, "112".

Ukrainian director Kira Muratova became a member of the American Film Academy by voting results.

The invitation mentioned two films of the Ukrainian director - "Asthenic Syndrome" (1989) and "Adjuster" (2004).



Recall, Kira Muratova - Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, Alexander Dovzhenko State Prize and numerous professional awards. In addition, he is a member of the Ukrainian Oscar Committee, which determines who to nominate from our country for the Oscar in the category "Best Foreign Film".

Kira Muratova was born in 1934 in the Bessarabian town of Soroka, in 1961 she became a director at the Odessa film studio. Her paintings featured Vladimir Vysotsky, Georgy Deliev, Oleg Tabakov, Zinaida Sharko, Nina Ruslanova, Renata Litvinova, Alla Demidova, Natalia Buzko.
