Visa sticker for 20 years learned to forge.
The Council of the European Union adopted on Tuesday a resolution on amending the 1995 regulation establishing a uniform format for short-term Schengen visas.
"The current visa sticker, which has been in circulation for 20 years, has been exposed to risk due to serious incidents involving counterfeiting and fraud," the press service of the EU Council said, citing a number of Ukrainian and European media.
As noted in the document, the new regulations will most likely be signed in early July by the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament, after which it will be published in the "Official Journal of the EU".
Recall, the EU Council approved new rules of verification at external borders.
