The Moldovan court this week will consider the appeal of the prosecutor's office for the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest for Judge Nikolai Chaus and extradition to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, the Moldovan Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

"Now, according to the information of the Anticorruption Office of the Prosecutor of Moldova, Judge Nikolai Chaus is under extradition arrest, but the Moldovan court, considering his being in custody for more than a month and not being able to influence the investigation, decided to apply preventive measures in the form of house arrest," In the press service of SAP.

The prosecutor's office also noted that currently all procedural actions with the fugitive judge are conducted by the Moldovan law enforcement bodies, since it is located on the territory of this country.
