Ukraine begins strategic cooperation with NVIDIA, one of the leaders in the field of computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence. As reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the joint initiative is aimed at developing sovereign artificial intelligence, that is, its own infrastructure, training specialists and introducing safe AI solutions in the public and defense sectors.
" Cooperation with NVIDIA gives us access to the world’s best infrastructure and expertise in the field of AI, which will allow us to create a sustainable artificial intelligence ecosystem and turn Ukraine into an agent state,” explained First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
Key areas of partnership include support for the creation of national infrastructure based on NVIDIA technologies. Cooperation will also bring the development of education and talent in the field of AI, joint R\u0026D projects and work with the startup ecosystem.

The first result of the partnership will be the development of Diia AI LLM - a national language model adapted to Ukrainian legislation, public services and the needs of citizens. It will become the basis of all AI services of the Dii ecosystem, in particular the already presented AI assistant on the portal, the future assistant in the mobile application and internal solutions for the government.
As part of the launch of the first project, Ukraine will receive access to a specialized NVIDIA software stack for creating AI products and technical expertise to accelerate model training. Will also have consulting support and participation of NVIDIA experts in structured workshops and sessions to review architectural solutions.
The Ministry of Digital Development is already working on the creation of an AI Factory - a national artificial intelligence factory, which will be based on NVIDIA accelerated computing.
The project will become part of the Strategy for Digital Development and Innovation until 2030, which envisages Ukraine becoming one of the three world leaders in the field of artificial intelligence.
At the same time, according to a report from the Microsoft Institute for the Economics of Artificial Intelligence, the level of AI adoption in Ukraine is only 9.1%, which is significantly lower than the world average. However, Microsoft notes that Ukraine has great potential for rapid growth if it invests in communications and digital skills.
