Researchers plan to restore the ancient winery in the city of Perra, Turkiye. This 1800-year attraction, located in one of the five main cities of the ancient kingdom of commagen, will become a tourist object, writes Arkeonews.

The kingdom of the commander, which flourished from 163. BC. up to 72 g. , it is known by the cultural combination of Persian, Greek and local traditions. Perra played a strategic role due to its location on the way connecting Samsat (Samosat) and Malatia.

Historical records indicate that the city served as a key stop for travelers, was famous for its clean water, which today follows from the Roman era fountain. He is also known for his stone tombs, which reflect various religious practices of that time, reverending Greek, Persian and local deities.

Local authorities have submitted a comprehensive plan for the restoration of ancient winery and integration of traditional wine -making practices with modern technologies. This initiative is aimed at turning the object into a bright attraction, which will allow visitors to get acquainted with the authentic methods used by ancient winemakers.

Governor Osman Varol noted the cultural significance of the project, describing it as a chance to recreate the story with the help of a detailed four -stage recreation of historical winemaking processes.

Currently, restoration work, headed by the Department of Culture and Tourism, and local and foreign tourists can visit this object. The lever presses characteristic of ancient grape mills will be returned to working condition, which will allow visitors to see these ancient technologies.
