Internet providers of Ukraine are preparing to further reduce the strength of the power supply network, informs the Ministry of Digital Transformation (Mindigitra). Special approaches are extremely important in the minds of the growing demand for reliable Internet connection, especially in places.

Director of the Department for Fixed Internet Development of the Ministry of Digital Development Yuriy Matsik received information about preparations aimed at improving the reliability of the Internet network. In Ukraine, only 37% of fixed-line subscribers can connect to an Internet connection based on PON (passive optical network), due to their resistance to troubling damage. The situation in Kiev is especially alarming, where this figure has become less than 9%.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation initiated calls directed to secure Internet providers by reliable power supply units and other calls. During this period, over 500 generators with a capacity of up to 900 kW and over 40,000 batteries were added. It is planned to purchase another 35,000 rechargeable batteries before the end of life.
