Analysts IHS Markit named the most popular smartphones in the world in the first half of the year. Leadership in the market still hold Apple's models.
According to experts, sales of the iPhone 7 in January-June 2017 were the highest among all smartphones. Second place went to iPhone 7 Plus. "Apple" phones remain the most in demand since its release.
The top three in terms of sales in the first half of 2017 closed Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus. Followed by the iPhone 6s and Galaxy S8. Flagship Galaxy S8 Plus got the sixth place, slightly losing to Galaxy S8, the study says.
In the top ten are mainly devices Apple and Samsung. Only the product Oppo managed to dilute the dominance of the two vendors.
Among the 22 most popular smartphone models reviewed in IHS, eight of them were developed by Chinese companies and produced in the amount of more than 6 million pieces for the first half of the year.
