Experts expect further strengthening of ASUS on the motherboard market

High demand for motherboards based on Intel X299 and Z270 chipsets helped ASUS strengthen its position in the world market of branded motherboards: the share of the Taiwanese vendor on it has recently grown to 45%, DigiTimes reports with reference to industry sources.

ASUS dominates the segment of high-quality motherboards in the markets of the US, Europe and Japan, and is also the largest supplier of motherboards to New Zealand, Australia, India and a number of Asian countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore.

According to sources, the motherboards ASUS X299-series occupy more than 70% in the high-end market segment of the "motherboard" of the Asia-Pacific region, and the Z270 series are the leaders in the category for gaming systems with a share of more than 60%. It is also noted that, since recently, the supply of motherboards to the Asia-Pacific region has become a driver of revenue growth and profit Asustek.



In the final quarter of 2017 ASUS plans to replenish its range of motherboards with a series of models based on the Intel Z370 chipset as part of Prime, ROG and TUF product lines. In order to strengthen the gaming segment, the company will release 8 motherboards under the brands ROG and ROG Strix. It is assumed that the output of the novelties will ensure the further growth of supplies of the corresponding Asustek products and will help further increase the gap from the nearest competitors of Gigabyte and MSI.
