Edward Snowden believes that crypto-currencies with an emphasis on anonymity are the most promising and called Zcash "the most interesting alternative to bitcoin".

Snowden, a former US intelligence officer who published documents from the National Security Agency (NSA), proving that the agency was spying on private individuals who were not the object of active investigations, is currently the president of the board of directors of the Free Press Foundation, informs eizvestia. com.

Snowden expressed his opinion about crypto-currencies in his Twitter, saying that:.

"... Zcash's privacy technology makes it the most interesting alternative to bitcoin. Bitcoin is wonderful, but since it is not anonymous, its use is unsafe ".
