When in 1976 appeared one of the first personal computers Altair 8800, Microsoft released for him a BASIC interpreter. At a time when the industry is on the verge of a possible revolution in computers related to quantum computing, the developer of Windows wants to keep up with the times and is already preparing a new programming language.
This language does not even have a title. The basis for it is the long-term research of Michael Friedman (Michael Freedman), dedicated to the hardware and software aspect of the "topological quantum computer".
It is expected that the introduction of quantum computing will radically improve the work of artificial intelligence applications, for example, accelerate the training of the personal assistant Cortana many times, and will open up ways to solve mathematical problems previously considered to be unresolved. The new programming language will allow to effectively implement algorithms in terms of the use of appropriate hardware resources.
Note that Microsoft is working not only on the programming language, but also on the hardware of the computer.
