Consumers do not care about LG G6

The flagship smartphone LG G6 was almost uninteresting to consumers. Even his manufacturer admitted this during the report conference with the participation of investors. The last quarter became one of the worst for the mobile division of the company, which for the first time in many years was unprofitable.

The total loss of LG in the second quarter of 2017 amounted to 117 million US dollars. Representatives of the company attribute this to the high cost of components required for the production of smartphones, as well as to the tough policies of competitors that impede the supply of the current "iron".

While the flagship smartphone LG is experiencing stagnation, models from the middle price category are increasingly popular.

The company notes a 13% increase in sales of phones targeting the mass consumer. Such models differ in attractive appearance and decent performance.

The manufacturer himself hopes that the next financial report will be more positive. At least, LG representatives hinted, they have ideas about how to surprise consumers. One of the trump cards in the manufacturer's sleeve is likely to be the shockproof sub-flagship LG V30, the presentation of which will take place in September.
