This project is the first in the world infrastructure solution for a fully automated parking service in real conditions with or without drivers. Since the beginning of 2018, visitors will be able to try this service in the museum parking after approval from the regulatory authorities.
Automated parking is an important step towards autonomous driving.
Its creation was made possible thanks to the interaction of the infrastructure of the intelligent parking system from Bosch and the automotive technologies of Mercedes-Benz.
"The era of unmanned driving will come sooner than many think. Automated parking in the museum demonstrates an impressive level of technology, "said Michael Hafner, head of the unmanned driving and active safety department at Mercedes-Benz. Previously Bosch introduced a futuristic speedster.
