Today, a number of media have published information about the intentions of the US State Department to close the agency responsible for coordinating issues on cybersecurity at the international level. The department was created under the US President Barack Obama in 2011.

It is reported that the department will not be completely liquidated, it will be reassigned by the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs.

According to Bloomberg, the coordinator of the department Chris Painter will leave his post by the end of this month.

Analysts note that such reforms are consistent with the objectives of the State Department, but do not rush to call the reforms right and thoughtful.
