The market for "smart" columns is growing competition from Google and Apple, so Amazon has to constantly improve the intelligent assistant Alexa and the "smart" column Echo. According to The Information sources, the company can allow third-party developers to use personal voice records of users to improve applications for Alexa.

This is definitely a concern for users, because there is a very fine line between confidentiality and enhanced access for developers. But, it's worth noting, Google also provides the authors of the application with voice recording of users Home.

At the moment, Alexa developers have access only to those data that do not disclose the identity of users. This can be location data or information about how often you use a certain skill or communicate with the Echo column.

According to The Information, representatives of Amazon previously told some developers that they will be able to use custom records. But there are no details about this.

If the developers knew by what kind of voice commands people use skills, they could make the corresponding improvements. According to Ahmed Bouzid, the former product manager for Alexa, at the moment developers get "70% of what they need to know". The Information writes that some already have full access to the data, but there are no details here either.
