Service for creating thematic collections Pinterest reported that in the next few weeks two-factor authentication will be available to all users. This will protect your account by adding an additional verification element at each login.

The system works in Pinterest in much the same way as in other services. After enabling two-factor authentication, you need to enter not only the password at the login, but also the code received by the text message. Technology protects the entire account: if you enable it through the web version of the service, the code will also be required when you log on from the phone.

Thanks to this function, stealing an account becomes much more difficult. A hacker can not steal an account simply by recognizing your password - he will have to get another phone, to which the additional code is sent. After the protection is turned on, the process of entering the service is a little delayed, but you get a significant advantage.

Pinterest offers a slightly more convenient version of a two-factor input.

It involves getting a push notification through the Authy application instead of entering the code from a text message.

In addition to this, the company now notifies via e-mail about entering from new devices or places. You can also see a list of all the phones and computers from which you were logged into your account.

In recent years, two-factor authentication has appeared in a large number of services. Among them - Facebook, Instagram, iCloud, Twitter, Amazon and Google.
