While Apple is losing its position in the smartphone market and in the value of shares, Microsoft is recovering and threatens to discourage fans from the company from Cupertino. At a recent presentation Surface Laptop was very favorably received by the media, and Windows 10 S too - albeit with less enthusiasm.

The only one where Microsoft has failed at the moment is the smartphone market. However, if Windows Phone is dead, it does not mean that the mysterious Surface Phone is dead too..

In an interview with Marketplace, the general manager of the technological giant from Redmond, Satya Nadella, quite unambiguously hinted that we will see a new smartphone from Microsoft - sooner or later, one way or another.

"I'm sure that we will continue to create smartphones," Nadella said, stressing that "they will not look like smartphones that we are used to today".

Obviously, it is implied that Microsoft has quite successfully revolutionized the tablet market with 2-in-1 devices, and now the company is preparing to change the traditional look at smartphones.

Unfortunately, such global and innovative changes take time, and it is not clear whether Microsoft has a specific plan for a "global change in form and function". Surface Phone, capable, according to Nadella, can easily turn into a full-fledged computer with the help of Continuum technology is a great idea, but the function itself probably needs further development and updating. And will you wait for Surface Phone?.
