Many of us do not consider stomatitis a serious disease. And often do not pay attention to the complaints of the child, believing that everything will pass by itself. Actually, no, it will not work.

Do not notice stomatitis is difficult: on the inner side of the lips, cheeks, sky, tongue are formed sores. They can appear in the form of separate inflammations, as well as whole "colonies". Sometimes several small foci merge into one large.

There are many reasons for the development of the disease, but the main ones are viruses, bacteria and fungi.

It is not difficult to get into the body of pests. Microbes often "crawl" from objects - toys, pencils and pens, which children like to put in thoughtfulness in their mouths. If a child gnaws his nails, he is also at risk. Split tooth, freshly installed braces and even too hot food injure mucous membranes, which means that the risk of infection increases.

Another factor is inadequate saliva production (it performs disinfecting functions). It happens when a child breathes his mouth or the apartment has low humidity. The cause of stomatitis may be a lack of vitamins and minerals - iron, folic acid and vitamin B, as well as food allergies (yes, sometimes there is a rash on the mucous membrane).

Diseases similar to sores.

One of the most common forms of this disease is chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis. It occurs seasonally (spring-autumn) against a background of dysbiosis and weakened immunity. It appears as a pair of sores in the oral cavity with yellow or gray bloom.

Another type of stomatitis is angular, in the people - "zayed", cracks in the corners of the lips. It provokes a deficiency of vitamins or staphylococcus aureus. The child is difficult to open the mouth: when closing and opening the lips, the affected area increases. Then the crack is covered with a crust that can not be removed until complete healing, otherwise the disease will return to the initial stage.

Stomatitis is contagious. For example, herpes, caused by the herpes virus.

The disease begins with a sharp temperature jump, a headache and a strong mouthwash. It occurs when eating or during a conversation. On the mucous in large quantities appear small bubbles filled with liquid. After a few days they are opened, and multiple ulcers with a diameter of 1-3 mm.

!! Caution! Use zelenok and iodine to treat sores can not. You can just burn the mucous membrane. As a result, the pain will only increase, and the recovery will be prolonged.
