Doctors accepted to distinguish four degrees of obesity. The second degree is characterized by the fact that the total body weight by thirty to forty-nine percent exceeds the normal weight. The ideal mass can be calculated by the formula "body height minus a hundred".
The causes of obesity are different, but they are not so much in genetic predispositions as in banal overeating. The situation becomes even more sad when a person does not spend the energy that he has gained from food, and at the same time leads a sedentary lifestyle.
The diet for obesity of the 2nd degree should be based on the principle of limiting the energy value of the daily diet, but the body must sufficiently receive proteins, unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, mineral salts. Eat often - five to six times a day. In no case should you reduce the amount of eating to one or two receptions - in this mode you will be bothered by a constant feeling of hunger. The petal diet consists of six stages.
When cooking, do not be fond of frying or putting out. Food is better not to salt at all, as salty food arouses appetite.
It is necessary to limit the consumption of products containing high energy value - flour, bread and bakery products, cereals, sugar, confectionery, potatoes. The daily amount of bread consumed should not exceed three hundred grams. It is recommended to completely exclude white bread from the diet and give preference to black or bran.
It is essential to limit the consumption of fat (up to a daily rate of about seventy-five grams), including fat, which is part of many protein products.
It is advisable to exclude foods rich in cholesterol, such as kidneys, liver, egg yolk. In a limited amount, you can use butter, as well as vegetable - up to thirty grams a day.
Obesity of the 2nd degree makes it so to plan your daily menu that it should contain on average about 2200 kilocalories: up to 120 grams of protein, 75 grams of fat and 250 grams of carbohydrates.
Totally excluded dishes that can increase gastric secretion and, thus, exciting appetite:
smoked meat, pickles, various broths, alcoholic beverages. As the first dishes, lean soups without salt are desirable.
The last use of food should be no later than two or three hours before bedtime. It is recommended to eat slowly, thoroughly chewing food, because with a fast rate of eating, hunger will appear much earlier.
If the results of such a diet are not what you expected, then try at the expense of carbohydrates to reduce the total calorie by twenty percent.
