Liquid magnetic hyperthermia (HMG) is a promising new way to fight cancer. He literally roasts the cells inside the tumor. This technology has already been successfully tested on prostate cancer, liver and tumors in the chest, according to Science Daily.

Magnetic nanoparticles (each particle has a size equal to a billionth of a meter) are intravenously injected into the body and selectively propagated in cancerous tissues. The best works are nanoparticles from a mixture of iron and platinum (although they are toxic due to their susceptibility to oxidation), magnetic iron ore and oxymagnetite.

If a high-frequency magnetic field is added here, the particles begin to heat up, raising the temperature in the cells of the malignant neoplasm.

"The entire volume of the tumor usually heats up to 42 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, which is critical for cancer," says Montrudi Liangroix of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. So, when the nanoparticles are heated, the cancer cells die without causing any adverse effects on the surrounding healthy tissues.
