Specialists from Spain found out how breastfeeding affects mother's health after cesarean section. Scientists believe that feeding a newborn baby can significantly reduce the pain of a cesarean section. Dr. Carmen Alicia Berengino of the University of Seville during a scientific conference presented the results of her work. For half a year, she observed 185 women who gave birth through surgical intervention. It was found that 23% of women giving birth were breastfed until the age of two months, as a result of which the pains after cesarean section resumed.

The remaining women, who fed their babies for a longer period, did not have any discomfort, experts are sure that the experiment is another proof of the benefits of breastfeeding. During the observation of the women in labor, the scientists also noticed that mothers who are anxious in the first six months after giving birth were diagnosed with chronic diseases. Scientists also determined that women with higher education were given much more breast milk than other women in labor.
