The study involved about 2 thousand girls and girls aged 5 to 20 years. The first group was studied in 1992 - 1993, the second - in 2006 - 2008. The full results of the study will be published in the American medical journal Pediatric.

Specialists are very worried that this trend arose because of the over-saturation of food and cosmetics by artificial compounds that disrupt the normal functioning of the endocrine system of the body. They specified that "the main suspects" are parabens and phthalates, which are almost everywhere - in cosmetics, products, dyes.

Often the first evidence of this appear in girls in 9-10 years. Scientists have cited the example of twins from Jutland, in which similar signs have appeared since the age of seven.

The researchers argue that such children are at increased risk of developing future breast cancer, and without restoring the normal hormonal balance, they soon stop growing. In addition, girls are often shy about their appearance and have serious psychological difficulties.
