The good old advice that the diet affects health has long been scientifically proven. But nutritionists at the New York University supplemented it with new data.

It turns out that not only well-being depends on proper nutrition, but also on the person's life expectancy. And compliance with all norms in the diet can extend the earthly existence for 10 years.

The researchers evaluated the relationship between dietary habits and the risk of death of 350,000 men and women. It was those of them who were eating rightly, reduced their risk of premature death. It is also interesting that, according to the study, there are serious gender differences in the dependence of life expectancy and diet. Thus, women who eat healthy food reduce the risk of death by 25%, when under the same conditions for men it will decrease only by 20%.

The whole point is that a balanced diet favorably influences various internal organs.

So, for example, a "proper" diet will not allow progression of coronary artery disease in women, which is one of the main causes of death in the post-menopausal period, will not allow the development of atherosclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. Also, a balanced diet slows the progression of chronic diseases.

According to scientists, good dietary habits consist in that the daily diet of man included vegetables and fruits, low-fat milk and sour-milk products, whole grains, lean meat, poultry and fatty omega-acids health. Sumy. Ua.
