Containment in cucumbers and strawberries stops the process of memory impairment and saves from manifestations of Alzheimer's disease. Such conclusions were made by scientists from the Solkov Institute for Biological Studies (USA), after testing fizetin flavonol on laboratory mice.

It turned out that the connection not only stopped the decline in the quality of memory and intelligence, but also helped to cope with learning problems. Unfortunately, the compound had no effect on the formation of amyloid deposits in the brain, causing symptoms of the disease. That means, fizetin acts bypassing the mechanism of formation of deposits and affects only the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, the means for complete recovery from pathology remains to be found.

Fizetin - a natural component of many fruits and vegetables. Science is not the first to consider its impact on brain structures. More than 10 years ago, the effect of the compound on brain neurons has already been proven: flavonol protects nerve fibers from premature aging due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

It has also been previously established that fizetin slows the onset of travel problems and delays premature death in the three models of Huntington's disease, a genetic disorder that destroys neurons in certain areas of the brain and disrupts the ability of patients to walk, talk and think normally.

And the latest discovery indicates that this compound activates the cellular path associated with memory quality and stops the process of age-related brain degradation.

Note:.

Flavonol fizetin positively affects the nervous system of even a completely healthy person.

A large number of flavonols are found in simple plant products, for example, in cucumbers and strawberries.
