The composition of the components found in turmeric, known to us as a curry spice, can slow down the damage to liver cells caused by a disease such as cirrhosis, experts say, according to the Internet publication for girls and women aged 14 to 35 Pannochka. Net Austrian scientists conducted laboratory experiments in mice. Feeding rodents with turmeric has led to a reduction in the inflammatory process, which leads to the destruction of liver cells with cirrhosis. The results of the scientific work were published in the British Medical Journal.

Previous studies have shown that curcumin, which gives turmeric a bright yellow color, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can have a beneficial effect in controlling the disease.

Also, some studies have shown that people who eat a lot of curry spice for food may be less likely to develop cancer.

According to experts, a similar protective effect for the liver of turmeric can also affect humans. Cirrhosis of the liver leads to damage to the tissues of the organ and irreversible consequences, which ultimately results in a fatal outcome. For this reason, research in this area is very important, according to Austrian experts.
