The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) states that searches at the Motor Sich enterprise were related to the investigation of the preparation of the destruction of the strategic enterprise. This is reported by the press service of the SBU.

"The Ukrainian Security Service is investigating criminal proceedings on h. 1 st. 14 and art.. 113 (sabotage) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the fact of preparation for the commission of actions aimed at weakening the state due to the destruction of the strategic enterprise of Motor Sich JSC, the message says..

According to the SBU, representatives of a foreign company are developing a plant for the production of aircraft engines, for which it is planned to transfer Ukrainian production and transfer technology. To realize these intentions, foreigners committed an indirect concentration of a controlling stake in the company, which is now formalized into six offshore companies and an individual.

The sale of a controlling stake in Motor Sich was carried out to individuals and companies of non-residents in amounts of less than 10%, which is why there are suspicions of an attempt by interested persons to hide owners of significant participation and real owners of buyers of shares, the SBU.

Representatives of a foreign company intend to illegally concentrate the acquired stake and get full control over its activities in the field of military defense orders.

In this regard, in the criminal proceeding in 2017, according to court order, was seized a stake in Motor Sich OJSC in the amount of 56%, added to the SBU.

On the eve of the Security Service carried out searches in the company Motor Sich in Zaporozhye.
