Tanzania is an East African country on the Indian Ocean that includes Mount Kilimanjaro and the island of Zanzibar. It was formed in 1964 by the union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. The official capital is Dodoma, the largest city is Dar es Salaam and the population is about 60 million. Major cities: Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar City, Mwanza.
