Milan head coach Ruben Amorim spoke about his decision to continue his career in Italy. In the summer of 2026, the Portuguese fahivets could once again denounce the club in Fatherland, but without considering such an option.
According to TUTTOmercatoWEB, Amorim was linked to possible confessions to Benfica. Recently, the coach himself stated that he had no plans to return to Portuguese football, and after the proposal from Milan, he was left with his future.
" I had the opportunity to turn to work in Portugal, but I decided not to bother anyone. If I had called the Portuguese club on the phone, I would have been convinced. Then Milan called me, and I couldn’t say “no”. I didn’t intend to return to Portugal - I decided to visit Milan and satisfy these important decisions,” said Amorim.
The 41-year-old coach also insures his work with Milan. Amorim called the Italian club his other home and decided to lose the team's core through several offensive fates.
The Portuguese arrived in Milan in the middle of 2026. Before his tenure, the team had already played four matches, achieving two victories and two draws.
Previously, Amorim worked in Portugal with Casa Pia, Braga and Sporting, and the remaining place of his work before Milan was Manchester United.
