Southampton achieves principled home ownership with West Gem after the return of retired James Ward-Prowse.

As reported by The Athletic, the club will pay a symbolic amount for the transfer of the 31-year-old Englishman, but will not exceed 1 million pounds sterling.

Ward-Prowse lost Southampton in 2023 after losing the team from the Premier League and moving to West Ham. During his three spells at the London club, he also played on loan for Nottingham Forest and Burnley.

Now the rebounder can help Southampton strengthen the middle line.

The club is looking for evidence of the Viconavians after the transition of Shea Charles to Fulgham, and Ward-Prowse is well known to the team and may become an important graver under the leadership of Tondi Eckert.

An Englishman and a Southamptonian. He joined the club at the eight-ranked club before the academy, and already made his debut for the first team in 2011 with 16 players..

Zagalom Ward-Prowse made 410 appearances across all competitions for Southampton, scoring 55 goals and becoming one of the greatest scorers in the club's history..
