Rennes and Swiss national team striker Brel Embolo officially became a member of Atlanta United. The American club announced the transfer of the Swiss forward.
The parties settled on the term for a certain period of time – the insurance contract until the summer of 2030.
The financial details of the transition are not officially discussed, however, according to ZMI, the French club is taking away close to 18 million dollars.
Embolo arrived to Rennes in the spring of 2025, moving from Monaco for 13 million euros. Last season, the Swiss played 34 matches in all tournaments, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists.
Before moving to Rennes, the striker also stole the colors of Basel, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach.
On the international level, Embolo plays for the Swiss national team, playing 92 matches and scoring 26 goals.
