Girona announced on its official website that the contract with striker Cristian Stuani has been extended.
The new deal with the 39-year-old Uruguayan is insured until the summer of 2027.
Christian is a legend of the Catalan club and this will be the tenth season for the team, which flew to the Segunda Division on the back of the last campaign.. He is the club's highest scorer - 148 goals in 312 matches..
Last season, Stuani played 22 matches, in which he scored six goals.
For Girona, where a number of Ukrainians are playing - Viktor Tsigankov, Vladislav Vanat, Vladislav Krapivtsov and Oleksandr Pishchur, the new season will begin with the match against Leganes - the game is scheduled for the 16th September.
