Donetsk Shakhtar has approached Chelsea, Fulham and Brentford with a proposal to hold home matches of the Champions League at their stadiums in the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Guess what, Ardi Turan’s team became the UPL champion and entered the main stage of the most prestigious club tournament.

According to Dzherel, Shakhtar’s administration is seriously considering the possibility of holding European Cup matches in London and the first changes with the clubs have already begun.

Chelsea, Fulgham and Brentford will not take part in European competitions this coming season, so their stadiums will be available.

It is understood that the proposal in the form of “girniks” will give the selected club the opportunity to withdraw additional income, leaving Shakhtar to pay them a small amount for “hotels”.

It is also understood that, outside of London, the “Girniki” are looking at an alternative venue for holding Champions League matches near Nimechchina.

It was previously reported that Eginald had undergone surgery and would miss the start of the new season.
