Bayern Munich officially announced that retired player Jamal Musiala has successfully undergone elective surgery on his left foot.
The surgical procedure took place a few days after the national team's withdrawal from the 2026 World Cup.
As the press service of the Munich club indicated, doctors removed a metal plate that was installed after a serious fracture of the foot, suffered by a football player during the World Club Championship.
In Bavaria they said that the operation was planned and part of the standard process of rehabilitation after anterior injury. Therefore, Musiala will be able to undergo pre-season training on a strictly defined schedule.
The club also announced that the 23-team offensive team will be renewed before the start of the new season and will be ready to take part in the first official matches of Bayern.
