The head coach of the Egyptian national team, Hossam Hassan, hoped that Mohamed Salah would be healthy, having recovered from the final match of the group stage of the World Cup 2026 against Iran.

Apparently, the 34-year forward was replaced on the 57th line after experiencing discomfort at the back surface of the stitch. Despite the draw (1:1), the Egyptians settled in another place in Group G and reached the 1/16 finals, where they will play against the national team of Australia.

After the match, the team coach chanted that the player himself does not consider the injury to be serious.

" We'll have another hour to talk to the medical staff. I think I’ll turn around, and if I spoke to Salah, I’ll sing to me that everything will be fine,” Sky Sports quotes Hassan as saying..

In addition, Mohamed Salah may undergo additional medical treatment to determine the level of seriousness of treatment and terms of renewal. The Egyptian team believes that the team captain can help the Pharaohs in the World Cup 1/16 final match against Australia.
