Manchester City added their name to FA Cup history by defeating Liverpool 4-0 in the quarter-finals of the tournament. This victory became the team’s 18th victory in home matches - a show that the water club had never achieved since the second century.

The previous record is held by Clapham Rovers, who won 17 home FA Cup matches between 1873 and 1881..

The London Club was founded in 1914 after the outbreak of the First World War.

In addition, the success of the match with Liverpool ensured Manchester City's eighth exit to the tournament's semi-final, which extended the club record. The team also maintains a three-match undefeated streak on the road in the English Cup, as a result of 2018.

If Pep Guardioli's team achieves another victory, they could become the first team in history to reach the final of this tournament once again.
