Milan's great striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic Rospov, who grew up looking up to the legendary forward Marco van Basten the most.

The Swede said this in an interview with CBS Sports during a tour of the club’s training base.

According to Ibrahimovic, the tribute to the Dutch legend began at the beginning of his career at Ajax.

" If I came to Ajax, I was already jealous of him. For me there is a great pressure, because I am not yet ready for this level of excellence.

Obviously, van Basten is an icon and a legend,” said Ibrahimovic.

“His career was short, but those who have earned it will once again be lost in history - not only Milan, but all the world of football,” added Ibrahimovic.

The Swede also recognized the historical role of the Dutch trio in Milan - van Basten, Ruud Gullit and Frank Rijkaard. These football players themselves became symbols of one of the most successful periods in the history of the club.
