Karabakh finished its performance in the League of Champions 2025/26 with a defeat of Newcastle United (2:3) in the match of the 1/16 final. However, this result has gone down in the history of the tournament with a minus sign.

According to Opta data, the total number of goals conceded by the Azerbaijani team in the live draw has increased to 30. Previously, the club had never lost so much in one campaign in the most prestigious European Cup.

Karabakh surpassed Bayer Leverkusen's previous anti-record, which conceded 28 goals in the 2001/02 season. It is noteworthy that the German club also reached the finals of the tournament, losing to Real Madrid (1:2).

In this campaign, Karabakh played ten matches and on average conceded exactly three goals per game. Ukrainian Oleksiy Kashchuk plays for the club.

It seems likely that Bude-Glimt made it to the 1/8 finals, sensationally beating Inter.
