Ukrainian striker Utrecht Artem Stepanov reacted to his goalless streak after the Eredivisie match against Zwolle (1:1).
The 18-year-old forward, who arrived in winter 2026 to the Dutch club on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, admitted that he was disappointed with the number of goals scored, but would like to change his plans.
" I'm working hard to score, just don't come yet. I need to lose my chances on future chances. I'm disappointed that I didn't score. The most important thing is that the moment before the ball may end up at the goal.
I add energy, if not a firebrand - give some shout-outs about those to start scoring. If I had realized the moment, we would have won the match,” Stepanov said in the commentary for De Telegraaf.
The Ukrainian lease is insured until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Despite the number of goals, Stepanov already scored his debut assist in the match against NEC Nijmegen (3:1).
The Utrecht football striker played five matches (241 matches). In the rest of the game, you have vyishov at the starting warehouse and have received 62 hvilini.
After 24 rounds, Utrecht is in eighth place in the Dutch championship standings, with 31 points. The team will play the next match against AZ Alkmaar (starts at 17:45 Kyiv time).
