Genoa head coach Daniele De Rossi sharply criticized the referee's decision to award a penalty at his team's goal during the second half of the match against Napoli.

Apparently, the match ended with Napoli beating Napoli with a score of 3:2, and the final ball from the 11-meter mark was scored by Rasmus Heilund.

After the final whistle, De Rossi was not disappointed and admitted that he did not understand the current interpretation of the rules.

" We - and I speak for many of my colleagues - just don’t know what to say. Besides the bitterness, it seems that we were rejected by cunning, but we understand nothing. Football, which we played, no longer sleeps. “I don’t know what kind of sport I work as a coach anymore,” said the Genoese coach.

De Rossi also expressed dissatisfaction with the influx of VAR into the game, saying that current interpretations of the rules are harmful to football.

“These rules have been created to piss off the group. We started to worry about any contact. I used to be a fan of VAR - if I had learned, I would be less likely to be deceived. Ale now we give to this too great power, and it’s not safe. Football will have contacts from now on, and through all of this there is a constant risk of penalties being removed,” added De Rossi.
