Chelsea legend John Terry is holding a major auction of his special collection of memorable speeches. The main intrigue of the auction was the competition of T-shirts of two of the greatest heroes of the world - Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

From whom I can win by getting an Argentinean. Lionel Messi's jersey, which he played for Barcelona in the Champions League match against Chelsea in 2006, went under the hammer for $183,000. For the record, Cristiano Ronaldo's jersey from his time at Manchester United was sold for $115,900.

John Terry told the story about how he received the Messi T-shirt: “This is a very special T-shirt from the great and one Lionel Messi. This is an orange set that doesn’t need to be worn often, so it’s even more unique.

" So, if I’ve lost two minutes before the end, I’m urgently approaching the next one, so that we’re guaranteed to exchange T-shirts after the whistle blows,” said John.

Among other high-priced lots: Thierry Henry's T-shirt from the Arsenal match (Unbeaten season) was sold for 93,820 dollars. There is a signature on it: To John, continue with the same soul. A copy of the 2007 FA Cup went for 26,840 dollars. The speeches of Frank Lempard, Steven Gerrard, Paolo Maldini and others were also sold.

The auction brought in over 695,000 dollars. A portion of these funds will be donated to The John Terry Foundation..
