On Saturday, 31 September, the Ukrainian futsal team completed its performance at the 2026 European Championship. In the quarterfinals of the continental championship, Oleksandr Kosenko's team met with France and won with a score of 4:2.

The first half of the match was for equal competition. The Ukrainians will have a few chances, but France's goalkeeper Francis Locock fought off the shots of Vladislav Perveev and other Gravians, and the first half ended without goals.

On the 28th line, the French took the lead: Amin Geddour overshot Ukrainian goalkeeper Oleksandr Sukhov and hit a crooked goal.. However, within just a few weeks, Ukrainians have restored parity. In the other extra-time, the French brought the score to 4:1, after which Ukraine was able to quickly reverse the goal of Igor Korsun – 2:4. Unfortunately, there was no comeback, and the match ended with a defeat for the “blue and yellow”.

2), and then defeated Lithuania (4:1) and the Czech Republic (5:3). The match against France became a repeat match for the team in the third place of the 2024 World Cup, where Ukraine defeated their opponent 7:1.

In this manner, the performance of the Ukrainian national team at the European Championships 2026 is completed. In the final round of the tournament, France will compete with the bet winner Portugal - Belgium, and the final matches will take place on Wednesday, 4 February.
