Manchester United welcomed the official launch of the Old Trafford Regeneration Mayoral Development Corporation (OTR MDC) - a structure that will become a key element in the large-scale regeneration project of the Old Trafford area and the creation of a new stadium for the club. OTR MDC is credited with transforming the 370-acre area around Old Trafford. The project will result in the creation of 15 thousand new residential facilities, the creation of approximately 90 thousand jobs, the development of vast open spaces and large-scale infrastructure improvements for hospitals,.

A key element of the plan is to fuel Manchester United's ambition to build a new 100,000-seater stadium, which could set new standards for the atmosphere and excitement of world football. It appears that all planned changes will add up to 7 billion pounds sterling per river to the economy of Great Britain.

Manchester United Director of Operations Collette Roche commented:.

" Our goal is to celebrate the world’s greatest football stadium, the anniversary of our fans, our history and our future. We want to create the best possible atmosphere and match day celebration for world football, at the same time ensuring that the stadium will become a catalyst for the creation of a new dynamic area for patients, residents and tourists.

Today is a significant milestone for our club, for Trafford and for Greater Manchester. We thank Lord Coe, Mayor Andy Burnham, the Lord of Trafford, the Greater Manchester Association (GMCA), as well as all our partners and community representatives for the leadership and achievements that have helped us achieve this.

The head of OTR MDC, Lord Coe, also spoke about the significance of the start of the project:.

" We are starting to work - and there is plenty of help ahead! Over the course of the next few months, we will present our ambitious master plan and will finally turn it into reality."

The launch of OTR MDC officially marks a new stage in Manchester United's long-term strategy, which may change not only the club's home arena, but also the entire Old Trafford area.
