Roma and Aston Villa have reached the end of Leon Bailey's loan deal. The 28-year-old footballer, who joined the Wolves in 2025, is confidently turning around before resigning to the English club.
The Jamaican's period in Italy was short and marred by injuries. Already at the first training session in Rome, Bailey recognized the stitching, which made him afraid to miss a significant part of the matches. The winger ended up playing for the Italian team in just 11 official matches, including two assists, without scoring a single goal in Serie A.
It is worth remembering that Roma rented the gravel for 3 million euros with the right to a further purchase for 22 million, but decided not to activate this option through the unsatisfactory indications of the gravel. Bailey's contract with Aston Villa extends until mid-2027. It is expected that soon the Birmingham players will announce the future of the footballer - he may lose Unai Emery from the team or go to a new loan.
It was previously reported that Dovbik underwent surgery for a hip injury.
