The final match of the African Cup of Nations between the teams of Morocco and Senegal was not without a scandalous judicial scandal. At the end of the second half, the Senegal team was close to losing the field before the line due to the referee's controversial decision.

On the 12th compensated game, the referee awarded a penalty at the Senegalese goal for a foul near the penalty area. The decision resulted in a turbulent reaction, and even a few minutes earlier the referee had conceded the goal to Senegal, which further increased the tension.

The head coach of the Senegalese national team, Pap Tyaw, ordered his players to go straight to the stands, without finishing the penalty kick.
