Nottingham Forrest have decided not to include Ukraine national team defender Oleksandr Zinchenko until the team's application for the spring part of the 2025/26 European League.

The club officially voted that the Ukrainian place in the European Cup bid was taken by the Nigerian gravel Ola Aina, who spent the season in just a few fights due to injuries.

29-year-old Zinchenko, whose contract is due to Arsenal until the summer of 2026, joined the English club on loan in the spring of 2025 and began to work with three coaches. In current tournaments, there were ten matches, but there were no effective actions. The reasons for the decision to exclude the Ukrainian from the club’s application have not been revealed.

Nottingham Forrest, after six rounds of the main stage of the European League, scored 11 points and took 11th place in the group. The team's upcoming matches are scheduled for the 22nd day against Braga and the 29th day against Ferencvaros.
