UEFA is considering changing the format of qualifying stages for the World and European Championships. The Times reports about it.

According to Dzherel, UEFA has created a working group to consider options for changing the format of qualifying tournaments for the World Cup and the European Championship.

It appears that this group considers the possibility of using the League of Nations as a selection tournament. Also in UEFA they will measure up on the introduction of the “Swiss model” with one official tournament table, just like in European cups.

" There will be no more matches, but the format will be the same. “We’re thinking about this now,” said UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.
