In the first semifinal match of the Europa League between Manchester United and Roma, the guests were not embarrassed by the status of the hosts' favorites, nor by the three forced substitutions - the wolves responded with two goals even before the break.

Already in the 5th minute, due to an injury, Villar Fonseca had to release Vereta on the field.

Then, after the teams exchanged goals, the guests were forced to change the goalkeeper - Mirante could not continue the game, and Pau Lopez entered the field.

And when Dzeko, after the transfer of Pellegrini, brought the guests forward, Spinazzola had to be replaced by Bruno Perez.

It is worth noting that Roma became the first team in the history of the Europa League (since the organization of the tournament in 2009), which made three replacements, and even forced ones, before the break.

Paulo Fonseca has no more replacements.

Interestingly, Manchester United have not lost in the European semi-finals at Old Trafford since 1997..
